HSA Matching Program Reminder
BMC’s new Health Savings Account (HSA) matching program launched on January 1, 2021. BMC matching contributions to your HSA are based on your annual base salary and coverage level you chose for the HSA medical plan.
If your annual base salary is $75,000 or less:
- BMC will contribute an Employer Flat Seed to your HSA; $200 in January and $200 in July.
- You can also contribute to your HSA and receive BMC matching contributions.
- BMC will match up to $350 for employee-only coverage and $1,100 for all other coverage levels.
- BMC matching contributions are added to your account each pay period.
If your annual base salary is more than $75,000:
- You will not receive an Employer Flat Seed to your HSA.
- You must contribute to your HSA to receive BMC matching contributions to your account.
- BMC will match up to $500 for employee-only coverage and $1,000 for all other coverage levels.
- BMC matching contributions are added to your account each pay period.
You choose how much you want to set aside from each paycheck, and you can change it any time during the year. Click here to learn how to change your Health Savings Account contributions. See the 2021 IRS limits on HSA contributions.
