Here are just a few things you may be missing if you’re not registered on your health plans’ websites.
Prescription Drugs—Medco’s Website As a registered member, the Medco* website will help you lower your prescription costs and save time. You can:
- View a list of the medications you take.
- Compare generic and brand-name costs—see if there is a lower-cost option available to you.
- Refill your prescriptions with a click, and request prescription renewals if no refills remain—save yourself a phone call and a trip to the doctor and/or pharmacy by using mail-order services.
- Review drug information and possible side effects—get the facts about prescription drugs you’ve been prescribed or are currently taking.
Health Plan—Aetna’s Website
- Claims history and claims status—see a history of which services you and your dependents have received, how much those services cost, and check to see the status of recent claims and whether they’ve been paid by your plan.
- Find a physician or facility—use this tool to find physicians, specialists and hospitals within Aetna’s network so you know you’re going to get coverage at the in-network level—which will cost you less out of your pocket.
- View your benefits—see how specific services are covered so you know what you’re going to pay before you go to see a doctor or specialist.
- Print temporary ID cards—if you lose you ID card, you can print a temporary card instantly.
Enrolled in an HMO? Visit the Kaiser Permanente website and register for personalized medical and prescription drug information.
Dental Plan—Aetna’s Website
The Aetna website provides helpful dental coverage tools and information to Aetna Dental PPO plan participants. Use the website to:
- Review your dental policy information—see how certain services are covered under your plan.
- Check the status and details of your claims.
- View a list of your covered dependents and their coverage descriptions.
- Learn more about specific dental procedures and dental health in the “Simple Steps to Better Dental Health” section.
- Elect to view your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) online instead of on paper.
