BMC has partnered with Healthways, a leading provider of health management solutions, to bring you programs that can help you achieve and maintain the best health possible. And when you participate in your health assessment and get your biometric screening in 2012, you'll earn up to $600* in medical plan premium credits for 2013.

BMC is introducing a new wellness program with these unique resources to help you get a healthy start to the year:

Biometric screenings:
A biometric screening provides an excellent opportunity to know your numbers and what they mean for you. The screening typically takes just a few minutes. An on-site health professional draws a small amount of blood and measures your height, weight and waistline. Then, you get a personalized report highlighting your results and what they mean. BMC is offering on-site screenings at company work sites in late March through May. Screening dates and times will be announced soon.
Well-Being Assessment^™ (WBA) (Going Live: April 2012!):
The WBA is an online, confidential health questionnaire that assesses your lifestyle and overall health. Simply answer a few focused questions and get instant feedback on what’s helping or hurting your overall health and well-being.
Well-Being Connect^™ (Going Live: April 2012!):
Once you participate in your health assessment and get your biometric screening, Well-Being Connect^™ becomes your one-stop online resource for health and well-being. The site can help you set goals and track progress to achieving a healthier you.
Health Coaching (Going Live: April 2012!):
Sometimes having extra support from a great health care professional can make all the difference. That’s the role of our new Health Coaches! Whether you want to quit smoking, exercise more, or eat healthier, we have the tools and resources to support you. A Health Coach can help you understand what you are doing right, what you can do better, and what steps you can take to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
QuitNet (Going Live: April 2012!):
QuitNet is the world’s largest and most comprehensive online quit tobacco service that provides the tools and support you need to kick the habit for good. It’s confidential, voluntary and costs you no extra money to sign up. This resource will help you develop a plan to quit and provide a mix of support options to help you succeed, including personal coaching, access to an online community with "quit buddies", and much more.

Your participation in any BMC wellness activity is completely voluntary and confidential. BMC is committed to protecting your privacy. The information you share as part of the BMC wellness program is kept private and secure, and will only be used in keeping with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security regulations.

* BMC employees completing both the biometric screenings and Well-Being Assessment^™ by July 31, 2012 will receive a monthly $50 premium credit in 2013.
