Fidelity Protects Your Online Security
In an era of increased online security concerns, Fidelity takes extra steps to keep your 401(k) account secure.
- Fidelity monitors account data and login credentials for any that may have been compromised online, such as stolen credentials appearing for sale on the Dark Web.
- If Fidelity discovers that your login credentials have been compromised, Fidelity will block your account and send you an email with the subject line: Action Required: Your Fidelity password has been blocked.
- If you receive an email with this subject line, Fidelity recommends that you do not click on the links in the email. Instead, log in to Fidelity through the netbenefits.com website. If your credentials do not work, you will need to change them. If you think your credentials were compromised, call Fidelity at 1-866-546-4424.
As an added precaution, Fidelity recommends that you also view your credit report. The government-mandated AnnualCreditReport.com website is the quickest way to request your credit reports for free every 12 months. If you are enrolled in the Identity Theft Protection benefit, call InfoArmor at 1-800-789-2720 for assistance.
