Transition to Fidelity: Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) Reminders
Effective January, 2023, Fidelity replaced Your Spending Account (YSA) as the new administrator for the following:
- Health Savings Accounts
- Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Limited Use FSA, and Dependent Care FSA
- Tuition and Fitness Reimbursement programs
- Commuter Account
- Adoption Assistance program
The transition will be complete on April 1, 2023. Here are a few reminders about transition key dates for Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts.
Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA)
January 1, 2023: Your 2023 HCFSA contributions are available online at NetBenefits.com > 2023 Health Care Flexible Spending Account tile; or through the NetBenefits app; or using your NetBenefits AccessCard (the debit card for your account that you received from Fidelity). Your 2023 Dependent Care contributions are also available online at NetBenefits.com > 2023 Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account tile; or through the NetBenefits app.
March 31, 2023: Last day to submit eligible 2022 eligible HCFSA and DCFSA expenses for reimbursement through YSA. Submit expenses for reimbursement online at MyBMCRewards >Your Spending Account>Quick Links> Get Reimbursed or through the Reimburse Me app.
Health Savings Accounts
January 1, 2023: Your 2023 HSA contributions are available online at NetBenefits.com > 2023 Health Savings Account tile, through the NetBenefits app, or using your NetBenefits access card.
February 14 to March 10: If you consented to transfer your Health Savings Account to Fidelity during Annual Enrollment, your 2022 Health Savings Account balance will be unavailable (blackout period) during the transfer to Fidelity. Your funds will be available the week of March 13 in your account with Fidelity.
