New for employees and their families enrolled in a BCBSTX medical plan
BMC continues our ongoing efforts to make it easy to use your benefits and provide better care options for the best possible cost. For 2022, we’re introducing two new services: MyEvive Health Hub and Health Advocacy Solutions (HAS). These new services will replace Healthcare Bluebook and Health Pros through Alight.
In 2022, finding your way around your health care benefits will become easier with Health Advocacy Solutions (HAS). You and your eligible family members can connect with a dedicated Health Advocate for help with health and benefits questions, big or small. Your Health Advocate takes the stress out of using your benefits by:
Helping you find in-network doctors and providers
Identifying ways to help you save money on health care expenses
Answering questions and resolving issues with your health care bills
Later this year, you’ll learn more about how a Health Advocate can help make health care easier for you and your family.
Next year, Health Advocacy Solutions (HAS) will be the phone number on the back of your medical ID card. You’ll be able to connect to your personal Health Advocate by phone, online, or through the MyEvive app.
If You’re Currently Working with a Health Pro
You can continue to work with your Health Pro during the benefits enrollment period and throughout the remainder of 2021. If you enroll in a BCBSTX medical plan for 2022, you’ll have access to a Healthcare Advocate starting January 1, 2022.
MyEvive Health Hub Available January 1, 2022
Beginning January 1, 2022, you will have access to your BMC benefits and resources all in one place through the MyEvive app.
MyEvive will give you access to your BMC benefits and resources all in one place. It will cut down on the need to remember usernames and passwords. After you register online or on the MyEvive app, you’ll receive personalized reminders about what’s most useful for you. Reminders could be to take action on your health, finances, and other benefits. It’s all about getting you to the benefits you value with the least amount of effort.
Later this year, you’ll learn how the MyEvive Health Hub can help simplify and personalize your benefits experience. Watch a video introduction to MyEvive.
Beneficiary changes are often overlooked following divorce, remarriage, or after the death of a loved one who may be listed as one of your beneficiaries. Having accurate beneficiary information means your assets will be distributed according to your wishes. We encourage you to take a few minutes during Annual Enrollment to confirm your beneficiary designations.
To review, add or change your Life or AD&D beneficiary, go to MyBMC Rewards. To change your 401(k) beneficiary, access your account at netbenefits.com. Finally, change your Health Savings Account beneficiary at the UMB HSA website.
Not sure if you need to enroll? Use this checklist for help. If you check ANY of these boxes, you need to enroll.

Increase or decrease coverage. For example, an increase from Employee + Spouse coverage to Family coverage.
Add, remove, increase, or decrease Supplemental Life Insurance coverage.
Add, remove, increase, or decrease Supplemental AD&D coverage.

After Annual Enrollment, you’ll receive a confirmation statement in the mail. Check it carefully!
If you find any mistakes, call Your Benefits Resources at 877-262-4849 immediately to correct any errors before December 28, 2021, you won’t be able to change your elections for 2021 unless you have a qualifying event, like marriage, a new baby, or divorce.
If you leave the enrollment website before submitting all of your elections, your benefit choices will not be saved. Look for the “Your Enrollment is Confirmed” page with a confirmation number for your transaction to signal that your enrollment is complete. Print this page for your records.
If You Are Adding a New Dependent
You must verify your dependent’s eligibility for benefits when you add a new dependent to your BMC medical coverage for 2022. Your Benefits Resources will send you a verification request notice and package to your home address. Follow the instructions in the package and respond with the necessary documentation by the deadline. Complete and return the requested documents by the deadline provided, or your dependents will be ineligible for coverage and removed from BMC benefits.
