EAP Offers Free and Confidential Help With a Call or Click
If you participated in any of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) webinars in August, you know that the EAP can help—whatever challenges life throws your way. You may be struggling with stress at work, needing financial or legal advice, or coping with the death of a loved one. The EAP offers assistance and support around the clock for many challenges that may affect you, your family and your job, including:
- Depression, anxiety and stress,
- Substance abuse,
- Workplace problems or conflicts,
- Parenting and family issues, or
- Childcare and eldercare referrals.
If you're eligible for benefits, you can use the EAP, even if not participating in the medical or other benefit plans. You and your family members are allowed six counselling sessions per incident per year. All EAP services are confidential and provided by BMC at no cost to you. Aetna administers the EAP, as well as the mental health and substance abuse benefits that are part of the Aetna PPO and HSA medical plans.
Don't forget, the BMC EAP has lots of resources and information to help you cope with the problems of everyday living. Call 1-800-955-6422, or visit mylifevalues.com (enter Username: BMC; Password: EAP).
